Sundance Film Festival

The International Sámi Film Centre participated at the Sundance Film Festival, to promote the Indigenous Film Circle Program, to meet and network with the festival and other Indigenous Film workers who have an established recognition at the festival.

During the Sundance film festival Rosa Chavez, Maya, Guatemala, from the Indigenous Film Circle program joined to develop her script idea with Heather Rae and Donald Ranvaud.
Berlinale Film Festival

The International Sámi Film Centre went to The Berlinale Film Festival, to establish network with the festival and their Talent Campus program. During the festival ISF had meetings with the Nordic Film Institutes to continue the establishment for a Nordic financing of the International Sámi Film Center.

Bird Runnigwater and Owl Johnson from Sundance Film Institute provided their support and experience during the discussions with the Nordic Film Institutes.
Meeting the ALL ROADS Program National Geographic Channel

Director Francine J. Blythe met up with Sámi documentary filmmakers. National Geographic has an ongoing film program and a film festival for indigenous documentaries. Read more >

Norwegian Film Institute

Short film commissioner Åse Meyer, met up with Sámi short filmmakers, they were given the opportunity to pitch their ideas and to discuss the development of their scripts and were given the information of the different funding possibilities at the Norwegian Film Institute.
